Career

Ryan joined Bohs in pre-season 2008 and was a regular in Bohs' "A" team that reached the Grand Final of that competition.[1] He made his first team debut for Bohs when appearing in Bohs' 4-3 win over Shelbourne at Dalymount Park in the 2009 League of Ireland Cup.[2]

He followed this by making his league debut for the club in a 1-0 win over Drogheda United on 22 May.[3] McEvoy picked up the first silverware in his senior football career in the September when Bohs beat Waterford United 3-1 in the final of the League of Ireland Cup. Ryan came on as a substitute for Paul Keegan in this match.[1]

In pre-season 2010, Ryan joined Longford Town on loan to gain some first team experience. He returned to Bohemians in July 2010 but was swiftly sent out on loan again to Athlone Town on 17 July 2010.[2]

Ryan struggled to get a look in with starting XI during the 2011 season but was highly impressive in Bohs 2-1 win over Shamrock Rovers in the Leinster Senior Cup in July. He capped his display with a stunning volley for Bohs' equaliser.[3]
